Parents read the following paragraphs with their kids请家长和孩子一起读下面的信息 Ezra was a man who loved God very much. He wanted others to learn more about God too. He wanted them to go with him to worship and hear God’s Law in the temple in Jerusalem. So Ezra asked the king, “May I go to Jerusalem, O King?” The king answered, “Yes, you may go. And you may take along all God’s people who want to go with you. I’m also going to give you silver and gold and lots of money. You will want to make offerings in your temple.” Ezra was so happy that he thanked God for all He had done. Soon lots and lots of people were ready to go with Ezra for the long journey back to Jerusalem. They carried bundles of clothes and baskets of food, which they loaded onto donkeys and camels. Ezra knew he couldn’t make the long trip without God’s help. He said to the people, “Before we start, let’s pray to God and ask Him for a safe journey.” The people knew there were many dangers ahead of them. Robbers were hiding along the way. “I could have asked the king for soldiers to guard us,” Ezra said, “but I have told the king that God takes care of those who love Him. “Let’s kneel and ask God to keep us safe. Let’s ask Him to show the king and all the people of this country that our God cares for those who love Him.” So early in the morning the people prayed. What are the people asking God? All of them prayed that God would be with them. All morning they prayed. They didn’t even stop to eat lunch. All afternoon they prayed. The fathers asked God to keep them safe. The mothers asked God to keep them safe. The children asked God to keep them safe. No one stopped to eat supper. They went on praying, telling God how much they needed His help to protect them. After they had prayed, God’s people knew that He had heard their prayers and would give them a safe journey. They knew God would be with them. Day after day they traveled. It was a long, hard trip. One day the people saw the buildings of a big city. They were safely back in their own land! Oh, how happy they were! God had heard their prayers. He had kept them safe all the way.
