The princess told Big Sister to get someone to care for the baby. Big Sister went to get her mother. The princess asked Mother to care for Moses. Moses got to be with his own family. She went to a man of God named Elisha. He told her to get lots of jars, so she and her boys did. Mother had only one jar of oil, but it filled all the other jars. She sold the oil and paid all of the bills. There was enough money left for everything they needed. Who can tell me the story? That’s right. It is about Joash. The queen wanted to hurt Joash. She didn’t want him to grow up to be king. His aunt and uncle helped Joash hide in God’s house. He lived in God’s house and the aunt and uncle cared for Joash. When Joash was seven years old, the people wanted him to be king. Uncle put a crown on his head, and the people clapped, shouted, and blew trumpets. Joash was a king even though he was only seven years old. LIFE APPLICATION生活应用
To reinforce the Life Response Aim of thanking God for the ways He cares for us, make a thankful chain. What are ways God cares for us? Using a marker, write the first way that God cares for us onto a strip of paper and staple the ends together to form a loop. Write each way God cares for us on a strip of paper and thread one end through another loop and staple. Form a long thankful chain and hang it in your room as a reminder of how God cares for us.
